Dear Reader,
Here we are, in January. The sky is cold and grey. Darkness falls early. The holidays are over. World news blares on painfully. If you’re dealing with health issues, this can be a difficult time.

If you indulged during the holidays, you may be beating yourself up with your thoughts: a stressful finishing touch to the cocktail of external stressors that are outside of your control.
In a world that feels out of control, the realm of your own thoughts is an area in which you can exercise your personal power.
As you learn to do this, you unlock the potential to elevate your life experience.
If there’s constant background noise in your mind, an inner critic that won’t be satisfied, true health remains elusive.

How can you make good health choices if you’re stuck in a negative feedback loop in your own mind?
There is evidence that accomplishing health goals – like calming the destructive fire that is Hashimoto’s – is made possible by small, consistent healthy lifestyle choices.
For example, some people can heal miserable symptoms like hives by changing their diet and healing their gut – I know this because I am one such person.
This blog will never claim to be able to heal you, or fix every problem.
Instead, I offer lifestyle tips that can act as lifelines on your journey to wellness.
This is where you’ll learn about how self love leads to inner beauty, resulting in better skin, a healthier body, an elevated outlook, and better relationships.
Self love isn’t trite, nor is it selfish.
It’s accomplished by deep inner work that leads to lasting changes in who you are: body and mind.
It’s achieved by connecting to your own spirit, the eternal part of you that is beyond sickness.
As this inner light burns brighter, the darkness is dispelled and even the bleakest winter day is full of hope.
Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and tell yourself it’s OK if you made mistakes along the way of healing. It’s OK!
You can always choose again; you’re doing the best that you can.
Wishing you a moment of self care today,
