The True New Year

Dear Reader,

How are you? Please feel free to comment and let me know.

Are you feeling a bit sluggish?

Do you feel like the extra holiday pounds just won’t budge?

Are you a little extra mucus-y?

Is your digestion just – off?

If you answered yes to any or all of these, it’s a result of the elemental balance of late winter.

If you’re also dealing with Hashimoto’s, then that’s a part of it, too.

According to Ayurveda, the characteristics of spring resemble those of the water and earth elements.

During winter, we naturally pack on pounds. Mucus can build up due to the dampness of the season.

If left untreated, these become imbalances, largely sourced in the digestive system.

Toxins in the form of what we in Ayurveda call “Ama” are built up. Undigested food particles cling the walls of the digestive tract and burrow in there.

It’s extremely helpful to do an intentional Spring reset each year, especially when dealing with Hashimoto’s. Next week I’ll talk more about this.

“When we orient around clear priorities, we discover pathways toward transformation.”

– Bhavani Maki

I’ve always felt the most peaceful out in nature.

It’s amazing to observe nature’s rhythms. There are daily, monthly, and seasonal rhythms.

Our bodies are a part of nature. And so, they’re healthiest when awareness is shined on their unique rhythms.

Winter is still upon us now (I live pretty far North), but the light is steadily returning.

Will you take advantage of the seasonal shift this year?

I invite you to start thinking about what changes you may initiate this spring.

It officially begins with the spring Equinox, taking place on March 20 this year.

If you’d like to talk more about these concepts and how they heal Hashimoto’s, please schedule your free call.

You can always email me at ablifestyleconsultant@ayeartoheal.com.

I love helping people solve the puzzle of Hashimoto’s. I know how amazing it feels to escape the suffering, and rediscover your health.

Sincerely,

Amanda Rose Baker
