A yoga practice can change your life.

According to the book The Book of Lymph by Lisa Levitt Gainsley, CLT, “All yoga sequences will get your lymph flowing. Inversions [like downward dog] encourage lymph to flow back to the heart, and twists move lymph through the abdomen… The ceaselessly flowing rivers of lymph are incredibly powerful in their ability to cleanse the body of toxins and waste and promote healthy immune function.”

What is lymph? The lymph system is one of the systems of the body, and lymph is the fluid that flows through it. Unlike the cardiovascular system that has the heart to pump its flow, the lymph system has no central pump.

But when it gets sluggish and backed up, bad health outcomes are sure to follow. Doing yoga encourages lymph flow, which is excellent for your health.

Usually we think of lymph in reference to disease, like swollen lymph nodes related to infections, and cancer. It’s SO much better to create a healthy lymph system BEFORE disease hits.

A clean and well flowing lymph system is key to good health, glowing skin, and a clear mind (there is even lymph in the brain).

All the systems in the body are connected. When you heal one, the others are impacted as well.
