Freedom comes when you take charge of your own health.

No one else can do it like you can, because there’s only one YOU, and each person is unique. You have a constitution that’s only yours – a body type, a certain way you respond to stress, a life history. You are a true original.

Working with me, we’ll identify what your specific body needs to feel better, designing a lifestyle of health that becomes a work of art – you in your best form.

When we have autoimmunity, we quickly discover that our Dr’s advice will only take us so far.

Don’t get me wrong – Dr.s, and even hormone replacements like thyroid medication – can be truly life saving. My information is never intended to replace your Dr, or even to take away from them.

Rather, it’s to ADD tools to your arsenal for getting better.

According to Ayurvedic medicine, the state of one’s consciousness – sub, waking, and super – greatly impacts health. There are practices that actually heal us on the level of consciousness.

But, if you’re feeling fatigued and sick, positive consciousness feels miles away. It’s unrealistic to jump from the depths of Hashimoto’s to a super charged state of excitement, or the ability to anchor into positive states of mind all day.

What is doable is taking small healing steps, lifestyle practices that pave the way to a healed self, consciousness included.

It’s about connecting with the part of you that is eternal, and completely whole – it’s the best part of you. Who are you, beyond the body? How can self realization, and deeply exploring your highest self, heal the body?

An amazing tool to care for the body so that it’s calm and comfortable, and not constantly distracting us from this sort of work, is Yoga Asana – the physical practice of doing yoga poses.

There are many classes available today for all kinds of yoga. Some poses are very difficult, requiring years of practice. Some styles involve deeply sweating, or powering through tough sequences.

My Gentle Yoga to Heal Hashimoto’s is designed for the person struggling with the drag that is hypothyroidism. It meets you where you’re at, offering gentle poses and nurturing sequences that support you in truly feeling better.

Today’s the Autumn Equinox (spring in the Southern hemisphere) – which where I live, means cool weather, trees becoming golden, and a general mysterious feeling of excitement in the air. This is such a good season to explore these topics!

I’m lifting my mug of coffee and sending a warm cheers to health on this first day of Autumn!
