Spring Equinox

I’m wishing you all a beautiful Spring season. The equinox was last week, and as it coincided with a full moon, it was a powerful one. This time of year feels more like the new year to me than January 1. The light is new, and I feel new also. I have been writing a lot, and setting goals. These practices feel supported by the energy of spring. (Of course in the Southern hemisphere it is now autumn) I recently moved back to the Pacific Northwest from Hawaii, where most seasons feel somewhat the same. Up here, Spring is very pronounced, with more light and longer days playing sharp contrast to the darkness of winter.

While I was in Hawaii for the past year and a half, I was homeschooling my kids who are now ages 8 and 11. That was a challenging, and also super cool experience that I am happy we had the opportunity to have. Teaching my kids, and keeping them busy, limited my time, so I haven’t been blogging. Now that my kids are back in their school that they love here in Washington, I once again have time to write, and I am grateful.

Every day, I’ve been working on my essay test for my Ayurveda Lifestyle Consultancy license. I will have some where around fifty pages when I am finished. After battling with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis for years before discovering a lifestyle that finally calmed it down and gave me my health back, I was desiring a way to learn even more skills in this regard. Both that experience and the consultancy training I am working on have given me many tools to stay healthy in this modern world. I look forward to sharing them here, with you.

Wishing you bright and healthy days!
